Choose a question before an input
Use multiplier mode to compare the 24 supported configurations without knowing a crop price. It uses a unit base only to expose multiplier changes; it does not estimate a sale. Value mode and the two-scenario comparison instead use the unmutated value you supply. No mode looks up current crop data.
For value mode: start after weight, before mutations
The input is the crop’s unmutated sell value at the weight you want to evaluate, in Sheckles. It is not a seed price, a weight in kilograms, a reference value for a different size, or an already-mutated sell quote. The tool does not maintain a crop-price or crop-weight database.
This definition matters because community references may use “base value” for a crop’s reference-size value. Our input is one step later: any weight adjustment must already be included. Applying a weight factor again would count size twice. If that starting number is unknown, use an explicitly hypothetical value and read the result as a scenario.
The community-model formula
Total multiplier = growth multiplier × environmental stack
Estimated value = entered unmutated value × total multiplier
Here, Σ means “add together.” Every environmental label contributes its amount above the shared 1× baseline. With no environmental selections, the sum is zero and the environmental stack stays at 1×. Environmental labels are not multiplied directly by each other.
Exactly what is supported
- Growth: Normal (1×), Gold (20×) or Rainbow (50×), one choice at a time.
- Environment: Wet (2×), Chilled (2×), Frozen (10×) and Shocked (100×).
- Compatibility: at most one of Wet, Chilled and Frozen. The community reference describes their normal replacement relationship. This tool does not model historical bugs or exceptional combinations.
These are a subset of the variants and mutations documented by the community wiki. Missing options, including Silver and other environmental mutations, are outside this calculator’s scope. Selecting Normal to stand in for an unsupported variant will not reproduce that variant’s value.
Follow one calculation from input to output
Suppose the entered unmutated value is 100 Sheckles, with Gold, Frozen and Shocked selected. Frozen contributes 9 above the environmental baseline; Shocked contributes 99.
Total multiplier = 20 × 109 = 2,180
Estimated value = 100 × 2,180 = 218,000 Sheckles
The displayed equation may show 100 × 20 × 109. The middle number is the growth choice; the last is the complete environmental stack. These examples are original arithmetic illustrations, not recorded gameplay observations.
Small checks you can reproduce
- 100, Normal, no environments → 100 Sheckles.
- 100, Gold, Wet → 4,000 Sheckles.
- 100, Normal, Wet and Shocked → 10,100 Sheckles.
- 100, Rainbow, Frozen and Shocked → 545,000 Sheckles.
Try these to understand the model or to check that the calculator is running. Matching them confirms the arithmetic, not the current game mechanics. The bundled engine tests make that same distinction.
Analysis beyond a point estimate
For multipliers Mcurrent and Mnew, relative change is (Mnew − Mcurrent) ÷ Mcurrent × 100. The supported multipliers are positive. The same percentage applies to values when a fixed base is positive; at a zero base all values remain zero.
For B to tie a fixed A, its base is A’s estimated value ÷ B’s total multiplier. Thresholds are approximate numeric outputs, not a rounded minimum to enter. For an assumed base interval [low, high], positive multipliers give the value interval [low × multiplier, high × multiplier]. One scenario is strictly higher throughout only if its lower endpoint exceeds the other’s upper endpoint. Touching or overlapping intervals do not establish a strict ranking. These are assumed bounds, not probabilities or confidence intervals. The comparison tasks show reproducible examples.
Input limits and displayed precision
Enter plain numbers, without currency symbols or grouping commas. Zero and decimals are allowed. Empty, negative and non-finite inputs are rejected. Base inputs above 1015 and results above 9,007,199,254,740,991 are rejected to avoid misleading extremes.
Outputs use browser number formatting with at most two decimal places. A displayed total can therefore be rounded even though its calculation used the entered decimal. This is not a claim about the game’s rounding rules. Ordinary JavaScript decimal arithmetic can also have small floating-point errors.
When an estimate differs from the game
First check that the base excludes mutations and already describes the relevant weight. Then compare every selected label with the crop, including unsupported effects. Updates, additional interactions, bonuses and rounding may also explain a difference. The in-game quote remains the check for an actual sale; see the evidence and verification limits.
Positive values below 0.01 display as <0.01. Rounded equations use ≈. Comparisons distinguish exactly equal estimates from values that are the same at the displayed precision.
